After a failure in the Ruke human experimentation program and the consequential breakout, Ouroboros covered up their involvement and Rukes were outlawed. Protogens, now unprotected by law, are re-introduced into the market as "Humanoid Products". Replikants remain illegal over human rights concerns, citing that Replikants equal slavery. Ouroboros has gotten around the law and has started privately producing Replikants through a loophole. The Company is hiring. What is the company? The company is me and a friend's passion project.
On the mention of repo, as a fan and someone who's seen it, thats a bit on the gnarly and super dramatic side and I do wanna go for a more limbus style world. Both repo and limbus are still a mixed bag when it comes to like how the world is set up. All in all things are split up into two sections. The main idea is to fill out the corporation with people's characters and have that similar to say something like SCP but with the morals of Lobotomy corporation. Everything really leans towards Lcorp cause I guess thats what I was super into when I first got the idea. Obviously id like to avoid unnecessary violence or death and it would be super hard to actually get your hands on weapons unless you're part of a task force or security, or maybe even someone from the outskirts who's genuinely got that shit on. There aren't restrictions to it but you can't just be Joe schmoe with a firearm, not within the more luxury parts of the city. The base for the rukes is essentially years ago ouroboros which is a science driven company who started out making medicine, tried to recreate humans and fucked up big time which started a spread of a disease of sorts that genetically modified people. Years and years later we're here where its an occasional occurrence for the mutations to show up. Ouroboros currently is trying to wipe that out because it was a huge stain in their reputation. A text based roleplay revolving around mechs and giant monsters
Come and join the ranks of the SPEAR Program and fight against the Chomotourgos to save the world.
The year is 2044. A brutal war ravages the world. Giant, hundreds feet tall mechs called SPEARS stand vanguard against giant worms known as the Chomotourgos, which first appeared in Athens, Greece, the site of the World's largest nuclear plant to date, in June of 2037. In the first attack, walking tanks known as DAGGERs were deployed.
The first worm was destroyed by the militaries of the world (which while capable of dispatching the gigantic worms at great cost) were inadequate defense against this new threat, and afterward Athens rebuilt to Athens-2. During this, plans for mechs to combat extraterrestrial megafauna were brought out of storage and seriously considered as viable to defeat the worms.
These giant mechs were improved for the modern age and with the development of the B.L.A.D.E Organization, dubbed SPEARs. The First SPEAR, piloted by Christan Alverez, destroyed the second worm, proving to the world that SPEARS were viable forms of protection.
The third worm attacked in January of 2038, hitting Naperville in Illinois, but it was killed before it could reach Dresden Station.
Four months later, a new worm emerged underneath Dresden Station, destroying it and consuming the large amounts of nuclear material stored there, before vanishing. First Generation SPEARS were only be stationed in the countries of major powers due to their cost and perceived ineffectiveness due to their design. A new, more effective design of SPEAR would justify this cost and allow other locations to be shielded under humanity's unity.

Looking for an original fantasy (open to scifi, but not hard scifi because I am not that smart to remember sciency stuff lmao) play by post/text RP server that is:

- doesn't need to have nsfw themes (I write spice up until the deed, then it's fade to black)

The Vekathus Elect is an eldritch sci-fi server focused on offering players a world they can shape as they grow. Whether you are good or evil, a human, robot, or eldritch abomination, if you put in the effort, you will have an influence over the world around you.
At this time, the server offers four fully fleshed out power systems; cybernetics, robotics, itemization, and hex magic. As users roleplay and progress the world, the current systems will be added to further and new systems will be integrated. Planned systems at this time include, but are not limited to, mech and spaceship construction, a new tech system and a new magic system.
Multiple RPG mechanics exist to make events and combat run smoothly without godmodding or abusing obscure phrasing. Furthermore, there is a lot of information that is kept track of behind the scenes that are directly related to user efforts in roleplay. Economy, research of new technologies, crime level, warzones, and many more aspects are all monitored by the staff to make sure the world reacts to the players' efforts.
This server welcomes new and veteran roleplayers alike. Literacy is learned through guidance and practice and while a high base literacy is appreciated, user's aren't expected to produce multiple paragraphs every post. As long as players aren't one-lining and are making an active attempt to contribute to a roleplay, they are welcome.
