    Modern Realistic:
    I'm interested in realistic modern settings involving infidelity, affairs, secrets, and complicated relationships.
    I tend to play complex, morally grey characters.
    The focus of the rp is the characters and their relationship.
    Can be part of a crime-mafia world or just average everyday people.
    The setting is open. For example, our characters could meet randomly and develop an attraction, while both already have other relationships or commitments.

    Medieval Fantasy:
    I love medieval fantasy, but I prefer darker, more dystopian settings where the world is unfair and the characters are struggling to survive.
    So no all powerful wizards, noble paladins, or heroes who always deliver justice.
    I'd rather play scoundrels, mercenaries, criminals, or ordinary people trying to get by while an empire collapses or an oppressive tyranny rules over them.
    Any kind of pairing is welcome. I'm also happy to play multiple characters and prefer writing multiple paragraphs.

    The Storytellers make up a discord community focused on keeping the early 2000's style of play by post forum roleplay alive and thriving. Our roots take us back to 2004, when we started out as a roleplay clan on an anime forum. We spent over a decade there creating, building, and roleplaying together with the other clans and roleplayers.
    Back in June 18 2017 we made the big move to discord.

    Our history is built in forum roleplay, where each post was its own roleplay. Some were self contained whole worlds, while others followed the story of a single locations, or plot. You were never sure what you were gonna find but you knew it would be great.

    The best part! This was created by a community of people who for years came together. Making the ability to find flow and build life long friends possible.

    We want to help ensure that this style of community and roleplay stays alive.

    Hello! I'm Ingydar, 20 years old. I'm very new to this server, but I'd love to get back into roleplaying! My writing style is usually semi-lit, from 3-5 paragraphs, but I'm willing to do my best to mirror my partner's style! The same goes for tense; I usually do third person, past tense, but I can do present tense as well.

    What I'm looking for is slice-of-life, and sort of supernatural-esque? The character I want to play is a ghost, but not exactly the horror type. I'm horrid with genre identification. 😭 As for the time period, I'd prefer it to be modern, but I'm willing to do 90s-present. Pairing-wise, I'm really down for anything, but the aforementioned ghost is female. She swings all ways, though, so AxF!

    Essentially, I'm looking for somebody to play a regular human person in an ordinary setting. Their personality, occupation, hometown, etc. can be just about anything you want! At some point, they begin to have a recurring dream of a lakeside, an old house, and a young woman who resides there. Eventually, the two of them form a bond, but something about the woman is clearly off.

    I typically reply very fast, multiple times per day. Unfortunately, work does get in the way sometimes, but outside of it I genuinely have NOTHING going on, so expect quick responses the majority of the time. All I ask is that you be 18+, and do not use AI.

    I am back after playing the Call of Duty 4 beta and it absolutely brought my COD itch back pretty badly.

    I would love to get back into this fandom with GhostSoap and Ghost x Roach. I personally only write as Ghost with GhostSoap, but I really would like a go at Roach if anyones willing to write Ghost against him!
    I got a bunch of loose ideas for plots with au's, canon divergence, etc and would love to go all in again! Absolutely love these guys.

    This also being said, completely unrelated to COD, I am still actively looking to add more __BloodyMary __(Simon Iron Lung x Ryland Grace Project Hail Mary) to my roster for either side of the ship as I write both happily!     TLDR:

    Hello!

    I’m quite new to the server and I’m hoping to see if I can find a rp partner that jams with what I enjoy and my schedule!

    I’m looking for a modern plot, anywhere in the world, that best suits our characters. I heavily heavily lean into angst driven plots, with some fluff and comedy and such to alleviate any tension. Though it doesn’t have to be angsty right off the bat. Darker themes are a bonus, but triggers and boundaries around these things will always be respected.

    18+ writers and characters only, ideally 21+ but that’s less of a bother. MxM or MxO is highly preferred, but if you fit the rest of my advert I would potentially consider MxF/FxO (I only play M or O).

    Light elements of supernatural or horror are welcome, but I am quite picky about these. I’m more than happy with crime BUT I do not enjoy any mafia related plots! I respect it but it doesn’t float my boat thanks!

    What will replies look like from me?

    I am generally someone who matches, and can be very fluid with how much I write depending on the scene (from semi-lit to novella). But no one liners and always third person past tense. I am also quite a busy person so don’t expect super quick replies if my irl life takes hold. My usual reply time is 2-4 weeks, though sometimes more or less depending on obligations. I’ll communicate any major delays!

    In a small Midwestern town still shaped by old economic wounds, a high school history teacher and the mother of one of his students begin a quiet, complicated affair. What starts as an intellectual connection and shared loneliness deepens into something neither expected. While forcing both to confront the long memory of the town and the particular weight her family still carries.

    Nia is in Daniel's history class. When Amara comes to parent-teacher conferences, she doesn't do the usual polite small talk. She asks precise, uncomfortable questions about how the school supports students who don't come from the town's more established families. A few weeks later, after a minor incident at school involving Nia, Amara shows up at Daniel’s classroom after hours. The conversation runs long. They end up talking about history, about the town, about the difference between what is taught and what is lived. Neither of them plans for it to become a pattern.

    Daniel Reed, 36
    School history teacher. Soft-spoken, introspective, a little worn down. Divorced for three years after a marriage that ended more from quiet erosion than any dramatic betrayal. He lives alone near the school. He has a younger sister who still lives nearby and a mother who never quite forgave him for leaving the family business.

    Amara Brooks, 38
    Single mother of a daughter, Nia. Works as a medical billing specialist at the local clinic and picks up weekend shifts at a nursing home. Intelligent & guarded. She moved back to the town five years ago after her marriage ended, mostly so Nia could be closer to Amara's aging mother.

    Looking for someone who can play SoL plots, and understand the character development, emotional matuarity and active plotter, bring up your ideas that you wanna include with in the plot. It is more than welcome.

    I have finally taken the step from rping in servers to attempting to create a server. I have decided to make a solo-leveling manwha inspired server. It is pretty mechnic heavy and less on the rp side but its what i wanted to try to step into before diving into something more free form.

    I am looking for: someone to write a canon Marvel character opposite my Spider-Man! Some of my favorites to develop with are other characters like Daredevil, Black Cat, and the FF but I would be so open to develop with any Marvel hero (or villain), and honestly, I've been dying to do a Superman crossover too, if anyone wanted to explore DC characters with me.

    Hello! I go by Lua, and I am an 18 year old who is looking for some original FxM or FxF roleplays.

    I typically respond with anything between 2 and 4 paragraphs every day or so, depending on how busy I am. Usually, I play female characters, but also use male ones from time to time, depending on the plot.
    I ask that you are at least 17 years old, that you use no AI whatsoever, and that you write at least one (preferably at least two) paragraphs per response.

    A genre that I'd like to include in any roleplay from this ad is fantasy. Currently, I really enjoy fantasy in all forms, whether it's a modern setting with minimal amounts of magic or a world full of vampires and werewolves. So the genres I am currently looking for are:

    I write realistic, character-driven stories (FXM & FXF, female OCs only) with heavy emotional depth, messy relationships, and deeply flawed people. Right now I’m craving gritty, chaotic stories with morally gray characters, complicated dynamics, and generally bad people.

    I love brainstorming together and letting the characters shape the story naturally!

I still love putting effort into characters and stories, but I’m perfectly happy with shorter replies, slower pacing, and letting things stay loose and chaotic. No pressure for either of us to constantly produce huge, polished replies!

    🪽 I love playlists, Pinterest boards, aesthetics, and yapping about our characters OOC. Communication is a huge plus!

    🐠 I’m reachable and will always pop in from time to time, but I’m not overly active and won’t always be around to reply immediately. As long as we communicate, it’s great ! If you’re no longer feeling the RP, just communicate that !
