- Based in early medieval Europe (Vikings/Anglo Saxons), plot is centred on the young, newly-crowned warrior king. He set out to conquer a rival kingdom, and proves successful, executing the previous king, leaving his widow behind. There is much discourse over what to do with her - she is well-liked, and useful - but a wedding is eventually arranged.
