Limbus Company is Project Moon's 2023 game, set in "the City", the same dystopian world as Lobotomy Corporation and Library of Ruina. The City is split into districts, each controlled by a Wing, a megacorporation built around its own secret technology, and divided between the protected Nests and the lawless Backstreets, where Syndicates rule. Fixers, contractors graded from 9 up to the legendary Color Fixers, take jobs of every kind. The player manages a bus of twelve Sinners, named after characters from classic literature, sent by Limbus Company into the City's most dangerous corners.

The City's grim, layered worldbuilding is a favorite for roleplay. Writers create Fixers and Offices, Syndicate members, Wing employees and Backstreets residents, or tell stories about the Sinners and the E.G.O they draw on.

Early in the 51st century, Ouroboros Corporation grew to 200 floors, the tallest in the world.

After a failure in the Ruke human experimentation program and the consequential breakout, Ouroboros covered up their involvement and Rukes were outlawed.

Protogens, now unprotected by law, are re-introduced into the market as "Humanoid Products".

Replikants remain illegal over human rights concerns, citing that Replikants equal slavery.

Ouroboros has gotten around the law and has started privately producing Replikants through a loophole.

The Company is hiring. What is the company? The company is me and a friend's passion project.

On the mention of repo, as a fan and someone who's seen it, thats a bit on the gnarly and super dramatic side and I do wanna go for a more limbus style world.
Both repo and limbus are still a mixed bag when it comes to like how the world is set up.
All in all things are split up into two sections. The main idea is to fill out the corporation with people's characters and have that similar to say something like SCP but with the morals of Lobotomy corporation.
Everything really leans towards Lcorp cause I guess thats what I was super into when I first got the idea.
Obviously id like to avoid unnecessary violence or death and it would be super hard to actually get your hands on weapons unless you're part of a task force or security, or maybe even someone from the outskirts who's genuinely got that shit on.
There aren't restrictions to it but you can't just be Joe schmoe with a firearm, not within the more luxury parts of the city.
The base for the rukes is essentially years ago ouroboros which is a science driven company who started out making medicine, tried to recreate humans and fucked up big time which started a spread of a disease of sorts that genetically modified people. Years and years later we're here where its an occasional occurrence for the mutations to show up. Ouroboros currently is trying to wipe that out because it was a huge stain in their reputation.
