CAPE MARROW HAS ALWAYS BELONGED TO THE SEA.
Off the coast of Maine sits an island built on fishing, old families, older superstitions, and waters that don't always behave as they should.
Every few generations, something changes.
The fish come up strange. Whales strand themselves along the beaches. Storms gather without warning. GPS fails. Fishermen glimpse impossible shapes beneath their boats, and otherwise sensible people begin hearing their names whispered from the surf.
Cape Marrow has seen it before.
The problem is that almost nobody remembers.
